Keeping your toddler safe

A survey carried out by 'Beterem' organization for child safety shows that 22% of parents engage in unsafe behaviors when their children are in the water, such as using a cell phone, going out momentarily, turning to get a towel, leaving a toddler at the edge of the pool, and more. According to the same survey, 80% of drowning cases could have been prevented if preventive actions had been taken, including learning to swim, fencing pools, using proper buoys, active supervision by parents and the rescue services.

Water Safety - Preventing Drowning

Almost every summer we hear about another toddler who was forgotten or locked in a car and suffered from  dehydration, heat stroke or worse. The fact that these disasters are preventable and can happen to anyone makes these stories especially tragic.

Forgetting Children in Cars – Dangers, Warnings, and How to Ensure It Doesn't Happen to You

The law in Israel requires all children to sit in a carseat until the age of 3, and with a carseat or booster seat until the age of 8 (with a recommendation to continue until the child reaches a height of 1.45 m and is at least 10 years old).

Adhereing to the law significantly reduces the severity of the injury in the event of a car accident.
