Every expectant mother has the right to choose the hospital where she will give birth.

Upon your arrival at the delivery room

You will be examined by a midwife and a doctor, and you will undergo the following tests:

  1. Medical history review and an examination of all your pregnancy documents
  2. Physical examination that includes blood pressure, pulse, and temperature
  3. Urine test for protein

If necessary, you may also undergo additional laboratory tests and a complete blood count.

Finally, you will be connected to a fetal monitor to monitor the baby's heartbeat.

After admission

From this moment you will be under the care of the midwife until your release from the delivery room.

Medical examinations by a doctor will also take place before you are transferred to the maternity ward and before you are discharged home.

Informed Consent

It's important to know that according to the Patient's Rights Law, medical treatment cannot be provided without your informed consent. The healthcare team's role is to provide you with the necessary medical information and treatment options so that you can make an informed decision about whether to consent to treatment or not.

Mazal Tov!

Immediately after birth, your baby will be given a unique identification band with your identity number. Under no circumstances should the baby be separated from you before this identification process is completed.

One of the considerations to keep in mind when choosing a hospital and a delivery room is the hospital's approach to rooming-in (keeping the mother and baby together), ensuring that your desires for full or partial rooming-in are accommodated.
