Pregnancy Monitoring with Leumit

At Leumit, we are committed to supporting you throughout your pregnancy, ensuring your well-being at every stage.

Our pregnancy support nurses are here to guide you from the very beginning. At your initial visit, you will receive all the essential information and support you need. In addition to monitoring your pregnancy, our nurses will assist you in obtaining necessary laboratory tests to ensure a healthy pregnancy.

What Does Pregnancy Support Include?

Our pregnancy support services provide comprehensive care, including:

Opening a pregnancy monitoring file at the start of your pregnancy.
Conducting a genetic assessment to evaluate the risks of inherited genetic diseases based on your family medical history.
Discussions about:

  • Your overall health and physiological changes during pregnancy.
  • Maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
  • Emotional well-being and family support.
  • Answering any pregnancy-related questions you may have.
  • Ensuring proper supplementation, including folic acid and iron, and making sure you undergo all recommended pregnancy tests. (Our pregnancy support nurses can provide referrals for these tests!)
  • Ongoing health monitoring, including:
    • Weight tracking
    • Blood pressure checks
    • Urine tests (to check sugar, protein, and acetone levels)
    •  Fetal movement monitoring starting from week 26, with guidance on what to do if changes occur.
  • Third-trimester preparation, including:
    • Information about childbirth preparation courses
    • Initial breastfeeding guidance
    • Explanation of the newborn screening tests performed after birth
  • Post-term pregnancy monitoring: If your pregnancy continues beyond 40 weeks, you will need checkups every three days to monitor fetal movements, weight, blood pressure, and protein levels in your urine.

When Should you See a Pregnancy Support Nurse?

We recommend monthly pregnancy support visits until week 36.
From weeks 36 to 40, visits should take place every two weeks.
After week 40, checkups should occur every three days (excess pregnancy monitoring).

Our pregnancy support nurses are available throughout your pregnancy to answer any questions you may have.
