Medications and tests that require special approval

There are medicines, tests and treatments, the receipt of which is conditional on the prior approval of a qualified medical official of Leumit Health Services. Please contact the family doctor or the customer relations representative at the medical center for an explanation about obtaining permits.

For your information, to the extent that a certain test that requires prior approval according to the procedures of the fund is required in an urgent medical situation, in order to prevent an irreversible change in the health condition if the test is not given within a short period of time, the attending physician can approve it even without prior approval.
